This course aims to give enthusiasts a fundamental understanding of the principles of science as practised in Astronomy as well as explaining various astronomical phenomenon and how to go about observing the night sky.

The night sky is something we are all familiar with but perhaps know very little about. This course will look at the history of how our knowledge of the heavens developed. It will take you on a trip of our solar systems, paying particular attention to our Sun and Moon. You will travel beyond our galaxy, into the farther reaches of space and discover the many amazing objects that lie within. You will learn how a telescope works from a beginners scope to the James Webb Space Telescope and what to look out for if buying an instrument. You will be guided on how to observe the heavens and what to see throughout the year. No previous knowledge of science is required to enjoy this enjoyable, engaging and entertaining course.

‘Introduction to the Criminal Law of Ireland’ is a short course for true crime fiends seeking to gain a greater understanding of how the criminal justice system in Ireland actually operates. It is a conversational course, aimed at making Irish law more accessible to non-lawyers. The course will answer all the legal questions, theories, and crazy “what-ifs” you can imagine.

 

The course follows the journey of a fictional character, ‘Anna Turney’. Anna is a Dublin woman who has been charged with murdering her husband of 18 years. Follow Anna on her journey from the moment of arrest, Garda interviews, through to bail hearings, arraignment, right up to her trial before the Central Criminal Court. Join us on this twisting tale as we discover if Anna is an innocent wife or a violent killer.
