We currently run Pilates classes on Wednesday evenings and Tuesday at lunchtime.
Pilates (Beginners)
Day/Time: Wednesday 6:45-7:40pm

Pilates, a method of exercise invented by Joseph Pilates in the 1920s, is designed to improve physical strength, flexibility and posture. The practice of Pilates is very mindful, bringing together more awareness of the body, mind and breath. Even though Pilates focuses on strengthening the core, the method works all the muscles in the body. This course is ideal for beginners, or people that may have gone to mixed level classes looking to deepen their knowledge of the core muscles; good knowledge to have for the rehabilitation or prevention of injuries. All you need is a mat, some water, and comfortable sports clothes.

Movement and Mindfulness

This course will combine a gentle movement component which combining Yoga, Pilates and some Qi Gong exercises and poses, and a mindfulness section which will educate participants on different techniques of meditation and relaxation, and set them up for their meditation practice.

This 45 minute mixed-level Pilates class is designed to work your core and other parts of the body effectively. Pilates is a comprehensive method linking body awareness, breath and mind. Incorporating a mindful form of exercise, such as Pilates, in your day will energise you and improve your wellbeing.
This class is open to all levels, and there are modifications for all postures. All you nees is a mat, some water, and comfortable sports clothes.
