Fly Tying Course (for Fly Fishing)

This course is ideal for any fly fishers who want to make their own flies.

Fly Tying

Day/Time: Tuesday 7:30-8:30pm
Duration: 6 weeks
Tutor: Thomas Butler
Fee: €70
Format: In person

Whether you are new to fly tying, or a seasoned fly crafter, knowing how to tie your own flies is greatly rewarded with more hook-ups and the satisfaction that you fooled the fish. This course will help you create specialty flies to set your day on the water apart from others. Your hand tied flies will save you time & money and catch more fish! Materials will be supplied for Week 1 (Student will be given a list of material to source for the following 5 weeks).

About the Tutor

Thomas Butler has fly fished for over forty years and has won many fly fishing competitions all over Ireland, using his own flies. He has taught fly tying to many new members of local fishing clubs both here in South Dublin and in North Wicklow.
