Nothing activates as many areas of the brain as music. Singing is a stimulating experience which triggers all sorts of positive energy in the mind and body. Social interaction is the best way to shake off the blues. Put all of that together and you get Choral Singing at its best.

Singing for the Health of it (SFTHOI) aims to build an a cappella choir with people who love to sing and who want to learn to do it better and with other people. It generates its energy and laughter from the heady mixture of good vocal technique, genuine teamwork and rock ‘n’ roll. The individual satisfaction comes when people achieve things they never thought they’d do, and the team’s enjoyment is at its best when shared with audiences.

A small group of Singers, doing it for the Health of It. Learning how to sing, and how to listen, blend and engage with a conductor to make a choir. In a happy and relaxed atmosphere, with all the time in the world.

Joining - The requirements are simple – that you can sing in tune and you want what SFTHOI is selling! Previous music training or choral experience is not necessary – this choir is focused on the journey of learning. You do need to practice, though - homework! - and to attend rehearsals.
