Learn how to use a sewing machine, read and use a pattern, cut fabric, insert zips, adjust and alter garments and all the other skills needed for basic sewing and dressmaking projects.

Our Beginners Sewing course is designed for total beginners and for those who want to brush up on their skills.
Students will learn how to use their sewing machine safely and they will develop the skills needed to tackle simple projects in a creative and supportive atmosphere.
Each student needs to bring their own sewing machine and tools since these are not provided by the college.
List of materials needed for this course: sewing machine, scissors for fabric and for paper, pins, sewing machine and hand sewing needles, measuring tape, seam ripper, water-soluble markers, thread, 30+ cm ruler, pencil and eraser.
Every project will require a type of fabric of certain length and probably other materials. The teacher will discuss this in class before projects.
